Natalia Yurchenko
We are honored to welcome legendary gymnast and world champion Natalia Yurchenko as an honorary coach at our Cancun gymnastics camp. Known worldwide as the innovator of the iconic Yurchenko vault, Natalia’s name is forever etched in the history of the sport—her groundbreaking technique remains a foundation of modern gymnastics.
A former World All-Around Champion, Natalia’s remarkable career includes multiple gold medals on the international stage, representing the Soviet Union with distinction. Today, she brings that same passion and excellence to her role as an elite coach in Chicago, where she is dedicated to developing the next generation of champions.
Beyond coaching, Natalia supports young athletes through her competition series and foundation, helping them turn dedication into achievement. Her presence at this camp offers a rare opportunity for gymnasts to learn from one of the sport’s greatest innovators and mentors.
Herman Fano Santamaria
With over 35 years of experience in gymnastics coaching, Coach Herman Fanto Santamaria brings world-class expertise and dedication to the sport. He holds a bachelor's degree in athletic training and a master's in physical conditioning. His career highlights include serving as Assistant Coach at the 1990 Central American and Caribbean Games, Head Coach of the Quintana Roo state national team for over 20 years, and leading Mexico’s national team at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima.
Coach Herman is a certified FIG Academy GAF coach and has worked with top U.S. programs, including camps at the University of Denver and the University of Oklahoma. For 12 years, he has served as the Technical Coordinator for the Cancun Classic Gymnastics event. He is also the proud owner of Cancun Gymnastics, where he's developed talent for the past 15 years.
